Challenge
With 97% of its funding coming from donations, effective communication is mission-critical for Kræftens Bekæmpelse. But legacy systems made it difficult to scale, personalise, and coordinate messaging across departments. Data was fragmented, processes were manual, and one of their core systems was approaching end-of-life. The organisation needed a modern, unified platform to deliver timely, relevant messages—and do it at scale.
Solution
In close collaboration with NexusOne, Kræftens Bekæmpelse implemented a future-proof marketing automation platform powered by Agillic and a robust, event-based integration architecture in Microsoft Azure. The new setup connects CRM, website, telemarketing and campaign tools in real time—allowing for personalised communication across multiple channels.
A custom-built data hub, TheNexus, ensures smooth data flows without throttling, and enables instant updates across systems. Internal teams were trained to take full ownership of flow building, segmentation, and campaign execution—without relying on external support.
Result
The transformation has significantly improved both efficiency and communication across the organisation. Campaign updates that previously took a full day can now be completed in just 10 minutes, freeing up valuable time for the team. Real-time data flows ensure that CRM, website and telemarketing systems are always aligned—providing a 100% accurate, centralised view of each donor. The new platform is scalable, compliant and modular, making it easier to adapt as needs evolve. Most importantly, the organisation now has full ownership of its communication flows, with internal teams managing everything from segmentation to execution. This has not only improved cross-departmental collaboration, but also created a stronger foundation for delivering timely, relevant messages to supporters.
